I got them replaced with a different brand as I didn't trust these shoes again.Helpful?Thumbs up - 0Thumbs down - 0Loading...

The 'fit' process is a marketing ploy.
The sales pitch, aggressive.
The whole experience buying these shoes was tainted by the sales approach. I walked in and was approached as normal, I expressed that I was not only interested in a good shoe, but a great look to which I was told that was the wrong approach entirely. OK, maybe it is, but if I don't like the look I won't wear the shoe, who's with me here? Especially at this price range. I was immediately dismissed. So I approached the sales person and said, OK so if it wasn't about the 'look' how would you take me through the process of fitting me with an appropriate shoe? The process was explained and I said, OK let's give it a go and see what the result is. Once the fit process was complete I was taken to the wall of shoes and the sales person pointed to the ugliest most expensive option first up. I said, that's great, that shoe may be the 'best' for my requirements (had a feeling it was a sales pitch) but I will NOT be seen in public with that shoe on my foot - therefore I will NOT ever purchase that shoe. A few others were pointed out. I chose my favourite out of an OK selection and was immediately told that was the worst choice, not recommended. Um, you just pointed to the shoe??! So I pointed to another shoe that didn't offend my fashion sense entirely and was told that shoe wasn't great either, but better than my first choice. OMG, um you pointed these shoes out as my options!!!! Then I said, listen, it comes down to this, if I don't like the look I won't wear the shoe. All these shoes have pink on them or are just not my style to which I was told - well if they didn't have pink then they would look like mens shoes to which I said - that's you're opinion. At this stage I'm not at all happy and almost walked out. But, the not so bad shoe was worth trying on so I said can I have a look at my second choice please. My choice was brought out with another more expensive option that I didn't ask for to prove that my choice was second rate and the recommended shoe was better. I entertained this and tried both on. There was a difference in pad feel at the bottom of the shoe, but the width of the supposed 'best choice' was not a good fit at ALL. Have you had enough yet?? My God! I had. I for some reason felt guilt about the time spent so I continued with the purchase thinking that the sales person was the 'expert'. I mentioned that I wasn't sure about the arch so immediately I was bombarded with this insole, or that insole or how about this one??????? Until I settled on one that I had walked on for 30 seconds adding $50 to the purchase price!!! Again, sales person is the expert?? So I take the shoes home and walk in them, several times to 'break them in'. My arches and toes are killing me to the point where I'm crippled. I finally had enough so I replace the original insole - the one that came with the shoe - and voila! No pain, no cramping. I notice that the sole of the shoe has already worn in to the point where it looks like I've had them for a year. Not at all impressed. My $60 purchase from a sale at another shop a couple of years earlier was a better choice than this!Helpful?Thumbs up - 0Thumbs down - 0Loading...
