UPPER - With durability and comfort in mind Ascent have used a soft yet durable dye-through full grain leather with a thermoplastic heel counter for heel support and thermoplastic reinforcement at the toe to prevent deformation of the upper over time. The upper also includes a fully adjustable hook and loop Velcro fastener across the midfoot for this Mary Jane style shoe 
INTERIOR - Continuing the durability internally this shoe has been lined with cushioned mesh and also includes a microfiber wear tab at heel
