Exceeds expectation
Brought this shoe for my son thinking they would not last the school year out (Yr7 secondary college). After enduring playing basketball on asphelt and general boys play on a daily basis, these shoes have retained shape, minimal wear and tear and have more than half of the original sole tread.
After TWO school years with these shoes it's time to purchase another pair of shoes due to growing feet. Glad they stock up to size 15 or 16s.

kid-proof!
I bought these for my son this year and they're the best. He does more running in these than any of his other shoes and they're holding up really well.
no complaints about sore feet either!

Here are some reasons why this shoe may be appropriate for you:
UPPER - With durability in mind Ascent have used a durable dye-through full grain leather with a firm thermoplastic heel counter for heel support, and thermoplastic reinforcement at the toe to prevent deformation of the upper over time. In addition to this they have also used reinforced metal eyelets for durability
INTERIOR - Continuing the durability internally this shoe has been lined with cushioned mesh and also includes a microfibre wear tab at heel
MIDSOLE - The moulded EVA midsole provides long lasting cushioning throughout the life of the shoe, reactively cushioning the foot through its walk. A nylon shank, heel stabiliser and firm heel counter supports the foot through even the most active days
OUTSOLE - Knowing the importance of a durable outsole Ascent have used a perpetual rubber outsole which is supported by a 6 month outsole guarantee - technology
