What is Plantar Fasciitis?
Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation and/or strain of the Plantar Fascia affecting the sole of the foot. Plantar Fasciitis is most commonly experienced by those who wear ill-fitting or poor footwear, have pronated or flat feet, have occupations which require prolonged periods of standing or have experienced excessive weight gain.
The Athlete’s Foot recommends seeing a medical professional in order to be diagnosed correctly and receive specialised care.
Plantar Fasciitis Symptoms
Common signs of the condition include pain in the sole of the heel and medial side of the arch-heel. This pain is often at its most severe at the beginning of the day or after sitting, and improves as activity continues yet often returns at the end of the day following rest.
