Recommended Size: Fits As Expected For Most People

Average Arch Height This is the amount of space between the highest point of the mid-sole and the ground. Correctly fitting shoes will take the pressure off your feet as your move, and stop the foot from rolling.

Average Heel Width This is the width of the heel in comparison to the midfoot. A narrow heel will be slimmer than the midfoot whilst a wider heel will be broader than the midfoot. If a shoe is too deep across the instep it can encourage excess movement. If the shoe is too shallow, it will be too tight and will irritate the top of the foot.

Average Foot Height This is the highest point of your foot (called the midfoot and often found underneath the laces) and the ground. Correctly fitting shoes provide stability at the heel and will ensure there is no slipping or irritation at the Achilles tendon.

Average Foot Width This is the widest point of your feet, generally the forefoot. A shoe that is too tight can lead to tension, blisters, and irritation at the ball of the foot. A shoe that is too loose will decrease stability and can encourage side-to-side movement and rolling.

Upper

Continuing the comfort and fit of previous models the Asics GEL-Kayano 23 features FluidFit technology ensuring a snug and secure fit while Discrete Eyestay Lacing allows for a customised fit and enhances comfort across the top of the foot.

Outsole

Continuing on from the midsole, Asics use Guidance Line technology which also aids in enhancing efficiency of you running cycle. Durability is ensured by the strategic placement of AHAR, a high abrasion rubber while AHAR Ride + provides you not only with durability but added cushioning

Midsole

Asics have introduced FlyteFoam Technology in the midsole to make this update lighter in weight - making it the lightest Kayano yet! The Convergence GEL Technology is still present in both the heel and forefoot helping to absorb shock while a Dynamic Duomax system on the medial side of the shoe adds stability and support

Interior

A Clutch Counter system in the heel helps slow the rate of pronation while memory foam in the heel collar allows for a more personalised and improved fit
