Reimagined with a PureGEL rearfoot for protected landings, and a Flytefoam midsole for lightweight comfort in every step, the Asics GT-1000 13 is the perfect training partner for beginner to intermediate runners. For additional durability, Asics utilises AHARPLUS in high wear areas, with a lower density rubber in the rest of the outsole to keep the overall weight of the shoe down.

Recommended Size: Fits As Expected For Most People

Average Arch Height This is the amount of space between the highest point of the mid-sole and the ground. Correctly fitting shoes will take the pressure off your feet as your move, and stop the foot from rolling.

Average Heel Width This is the width of the heel in comparison to the midfoot. A narrow heel will be slimmer than the midfoot whilst a wider heel will be broader than the midfoot. If a shoe is too deep across the instep it can encourage excess movement. If the shoe is too shallow, it will be too tight and will irritate the top of the foot.

Average Foot Height This is the highest point of your foot (called the midfoot and often found underneath the laces) and the ground. Correctly fitting shoes provide stability at the heel and will ensure there is no slipping or irritation at the Achilles tendon.

Average Foot Width This is the widest point of your feet, generally the forefoot. A shoe that is too tight can lead to tension, blisters, and irritation at the ball of the foot. A shoe that is too loose will decrease stability and can encourage side-to-side movement and rolling.

Midsole

Asics soft and lightweight EVA foam blend, FlyteFoam is 2mm thicker than the previous iteration and boasts high stretch and compression resistance. Interior heel PureGEL technology protects the foot upon landing, while the 3D guidance system offers wider basenets, an increased heel bevel, midsole flaring and a lateral guidance line to provide holistic stability.

Interior

Lean Back Achilles Construction fights irritation at the heel for improved comfort. Ortholite Hybrid Maxlite sockliner.
