Average Arch Height This is the amount of space between the highest point of the mid-sole and the ground. Correctly fitting shoes will take the pressure off your feet as your move, and stop the foot from rolling.

Average Heel Width This is the width of the heel in comparison to the midfoot. A narrow heel will be slimmer than the midfoot whilst a wider heel will be broader than the midfoot. If a shoe is too deep across the instep it can encourage excess movement. If the shoe is too shallow, it will be too tight and will irritate the top of the foot.

Average Foot Height This is the highest point of your foot (called the midfoot and often found underneath the laces) and the ground. Correctly fitting shoes provide stability at the heel and will ensure there is no slipping or irritation at the Achilles tendon.

Average Foot Width This is the widest point of your feet, generally the forefoot. A shoe that is too tight can lead to tension, blisters, and irritation at the ball of the foot. A shoe that is too loose will decrease stability and can encourage side-to-side movement and rolling.

Features

Upper

PrintDyed upper saves 66% of the energy and 75% of the water required for the traditional dye process. TPU toe cap and mudguard provide protection and durability to the upper.

Outsole

Enhanced traction thanks to a Biomimetic design which draws from anatomy of mountain goat hooves. The next generation of TrailTack Rubber, TrailTack Green includes recycled content, and requires less material to build than the original. So it’s easier on the environment while still delivering excellent wet-dry traction on the run. Strategic configuration of zonal pods on the outsole, designed for traction and stability on uneven terrain.

Midsole

Lighter than the original but just as soft, DNA LOFT v2 has a unique balance of rubber, air, and a less dense, lighter foam for a plush feel that won’t bottom out or weigh you down. An articulated Ballistic Rock Shield between two layers of DNA LOFT v2 foam provides necessary protection without limiting flexibility needed for smooth transitions.
