Personal trainer and nutrition coach.

Exercise 5-6 x a week consisting of functional strength training along with cardio sessions which include long runs and interval based training sessions depending on what I’m training for.

Triathlons, 1/2 and marathon training throughout the year. Average running pace around 4:20 p/km depending on distance.

FOOT TYPE

Neutral, with wide feet which sometimes causes me to get numbness in my toes so I normally opt for half a size up to allow my feet to swell during long runs.

I have had an ACL reconstruction on my left knee which tends to flare up if I run too slowly.

 

SHOE FIT / FIRST FEEL

Shoe feels great on the foot when you slide them on and immediately they feel ready to race, very comfortable and well cushioned around the ball of the foot. Great support around the back of the ankle as well which I loved. Love the look of the shoe with the tapered arrow shaped heel.

 

FIT / FEELING DURING EXERCISE

FAST!!

I just wanted to open up and go for it, the shoe really is set up for a race feel. I took these out for a hill interval session and I was very impressed with how fast they felt. No numbness around the toes, and after about a 2k warm up they feel at one with the foot to allow for seamless running.

 

SUMMARY

What a phenomenal shoe! It makes you want to keep running and running. I have had some great shoes in the past but this is by far the best shoe I have ever run In. If you want to run fast and with serious comfort then this is the shoe for you, you’ll honestly forget they’re on your feet and Isn’t that what everyone wants from a running shoe?! I can’t wait to tackle the New York marathon later in the year in these. Well done Nike!
