Hellen Obri, an ON athlete, recently won the prestigious Boston Marathon - one of the most iconic races in the world (and only her second marathon ever). Obiri crossed the finish line in a time of 2:21:38, 12 seconds ahead of runner-up Amane Beriso, while wearing the On CloudTri 1, a hyper-responsive World Athletics-approved prototype designed for marathoners and long-distance triathletes.
Ironman World Championships Triumph
ON athletes don’t limit themselves to just marathons; they excel in triathlons too. Imagine crossing the finish line at the Ironman World Championships, one of the most grueling endurance races on the planet, in ON shoes. Well, that's precisely what Frederic Funk did, and won a silver medal in the process.
A second Diamond League Win
In August of this year, On athlete Yared Nuguse claimed perfect revenge after a fifth place at the World Championships in Budapest. The American ran a strong 1500m race at the Weltklasse Diamond League stop in Zürich and inched past the newly-minted World Champion Josh Kerr on the last meters of the race. Nuguse claimed his second Diamond League win, the third for an On athlete in 3:30.49!
An American Record Smashed
The 10,000-meter run is one of the most challenging tests of a runner's endurance and speed. We were thrilled to see home-grown Aussie runner Ollie Hoare shattered the American record for this event while sporting his On runners in 2022!
